Welcome to the Princess of Prussia

The Princess of Prussia, built in Victorian times, is typical of the great tradition of London city pubs. It is situated conveniently close to Tower Bridge, Tower of London, St Katherine’s Dock and the City of London.

It is open seven days a week with a tranquil and secluded courtyard Beer Garden.

Come and visit this warm and friendly Pub, only a short walk from the magnificent Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

Preserving UK pub history

In 2004, The Princess of Prussia, which was originally part of the Truman’s Brewery pub estate, was returned to its original splendour.

Its façade was a classic example of Victorian pub architecture, with ornate ceramic mouldings, cornices, window reveals and fascia tiles, but it had fallen into poor condition.

A refurbishment project was undertaken to restore the exterior to its former glory, including refabricating much of the ground floor to match the original features, preserving and revitalising a rare piece of UK pub history.

What our customers say:

I think it's one of the best little pub in London. In the days of glossy flashy themed pubs this pub has retained it's traditional English character. Great atmosphere, lovely little garden out the back with heaters for the winter. All good!

Was spotted from the hotel window and just opposite so we popped in a for a drink and stayed longer than expected! To say the staff are friendly and helpful is an understatement, they go above and beyond. A couple of us wasn't sure what to drink and they gave us small samples to aid our decision. Free pork scratching which were to die for. Lovely quaint old fashioned pub if you are in the area VISIT!

I popped in because I was lost but im glad I went in, it was so welcoming. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Had the steak pie and it was delicious. Great food, beer and conversations. Will be back.
